ARRESTS MADE ON NARCOTICS CHARGES
(11/27/2006) NEW HAVEN –At locations throughout the city, members of the Street Interdiction Team made several drug-related arrests last week and seized cash, drugs and other items.
In the area of 16C Garden Street, on Monday, 20 November, police arrested Jerrod Midgett, 23, of that address. He was charged with possession of body armor and disorderly conduct. Police seized a bullet proof vest, face mask and two sombreros.
Demetrice Woods, 35, of 681 Congress Avenue, was arrested in the area of Congress Avenue and White Street. He was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics within 1500 feet of a school, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance within 1500 feet of a school. Police seized $94 in cash, six bags of crack cocaine and a cell phone.
In the area of 7 Malcolm Court, police arrested Frank Chambers, 50, of 8 Malcolm Court. He was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics within 1500 feet of a school. Police seized one piece of crack cocaine.
